Waiting for Love is a song by Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii, produced by Avicii and Dutch producer Martin Garrix and featuring uncredited vocals from Simon Aldred, the former lead singer of glish band Cherry Ghost.
The track was released on 22 May 2015 as the lead single from Avicii's second studio album, Stories (2015). The lyrics were also writt by Aldred.
The track was first premiered at Ultra Music Festival 2015 both by Avicii and Dutch electronic producer Martin Garrix. Prior to its release on 22 May 2015, it was thought that the song would have be a full collaboration with Garrix and Bergling, with featuring vocals from John Legd, after several videos and Twitter posts were created stating this collaboration.

Waiting For Love is a progressive house song writt in the key of F♯ minor, follows the chord progression of F#m/C#m/D – D/E/F#m and runs at 128 BPM.
The music video was directed by Sebastian Ringler. It begins with an old man (St Elfström) being tak care of by his wife (Ingrid Wallin) who th disappears one night along with some of her belongings. Upon discovering his wife missing in the morning, the man frantically searches the house and finds no trace of her. Distraught and despondt, he looks at a picture of his wife from the past before he leaves home on his mobility scooter the next day to search for her. He roams through the countryside on his scooter, witnessing many sights and wonders in his journey; including a bridge, a city, a beach, a marsh, snowy mountains, and numerous grasslands and forests. As the man's journey continues, he experices flashbacks of him and his wife in happier times, all the while growing as a person and making unlikely frids as well as performing many good deeds along the way. He ultimately returns to his home city in the midst of a celebration and is welcomed as a celebrity, as well as discovering his wife waiting for him as they reunite and embrace in joy.
On November 17, 2022, the video reached the 1 billion view milestone, the late DJ and producer's second video to do so.

The animated lyric video was uploaded on 22 May 2015. It follows the story of a dog and his owner. The dog and boy have known each other since childhood and spd as much time as possible playing with each other. Once mature ough, the owner is st to war; leaving his dog at home. After some time, the loneliness becomes too much and the dog evtually runs off in search for his master. The dog's travels take him through many places; including a city, a snowy mountain, and a grassy field until evtually finding himself in the middle of a battlefield while nearly getting killed by a bomb blast which knocks him out and makes him experice flashbacks of him and his owner wh they were younger. The dog soon wakes up and keeps going despite a few injuries, evtually finding his owner in the aftermath of a battle; wounded and the lower half of his left leg missing, but still very much alive. The video ds with both (the dog and his master) back home, their injuries healed (with the young man now sporting a prosthesis for the missing half of his leg) and living in peace like they were before. Directed and edited by Jesper Eriksson and Blackmeal's CEO Matthieu Colombel, the animation has received a phomal response since its release, bringing many to tears, and ev inspiring ex-military personnel to thank Avicii for making the video.This article needs additional citations for verification. Right Here Waiting is a song by American singer and songwriter Richard Marx. It was released on June 29, 1989, as the second single from his second album, Repeat Offder. The song was a global hit, topping charts in many countries around the world, including the U.S. where it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song was originally created to be sung by Barbra Streisand but she later refused to sing it. Marx was an aspiring singer/songwriter wh Streisand reached out and asked him to write her a hit. Marx st Streisand Right Here Waiting, but she turned down the chance to record it.

He said in an interview, “I had just rectly writt Right Here Waiting and it was such a personal song to me at the time that I had no inttion of recording it, ” he told CBS’s The Talk. “I was like, ‘I’ll give Barbra Streisand Right Here Waiting; I’m not gonna do anything with it’. “I had to messger the cassette tape of it to her. The next day she called me – I still have this voicemail… – and it says, ‘Richard, I heard the song; it’s a beautiful song, but I’m gonna need you to rewrite the lyrics because I’m not gonna be right here waiting for anyone. She actually did me a solid, because had she not rejected it I probably would never have recorded it and every once in a while I put my arm around her and I say, ‘Thank you so much for rejecting my song!'”
Right Here Waiting, once it was recorded by Marx, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1989.
Right Here Waiting was the second single from Repeat Offder, after Satisfied. Marx wrote the song on the road as a love letter to his wife, the actress Cynthia Rhodes, who was in South Africa shooting a film.

The track was arranged by Marx with Jeffery (C.J.) Vanston to feature none of the heavy drums and synthesizers popular at the time, with Marx's vocal accompanied only by classical guitar (by Bruce Gaitsch) and keyboards (by Vanston). It is one of Marx's most frequtly covered compositions.
Right Here Waiting tered the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at No. 44 in the week of July 8, 1989, and became Marx's third consecutive number-one single on August 12, 1989.
The record spt three consecutive weeks at number one. The song was Marx's first of several to go to number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. Certified platinum on October 16, 1989, Right Here Waiting is Marx's best-selling single. The song also reached number one on the Radio & Records CHR/Pop Airplay chart on August 4, 1989, remaining on the top of the chart for three weeks.

The video for this song was directed by Jim Yukich, and produced by Paul Flattery. It appears to be filmed on the road during Marx's 1989 Repeat Offder Tour, but was all shot in Los Angeles. It features various black-and-white tour footage interspersed with color sces of Marx playing the song to an empty auditorium with a grand piano at a (staged) soundcheck. Due to Marx's hectic touring schedule, very little time was available to produce a video for this single, so other tour footage was compiled to make an official video for the track.

Right Here Waiting was covered by American R&B singer Monica. It was released only in the United States in December 1999 as the sevth and final single from her second studio album, The Boy Is Mine, and features the R&B group 112. No music video was made for the song.
